Samuel Gilbert Public School is situated north-west of Parramatta and is readily accessed from Castle Hill. It has a defined geographical drawing area but does also accept applications from students who live outside of the drawing area.
Samuel Gilbert Public School welcomes new students and our Family Orientation and Values ensure that new students and parents are always made feel welcome. Parent participation is strongly encouraged in all aspects of the school’s daily operation and through membership of the P & C.

An Orientation Program for our new 2009 Kindergarten students begins in October and students and parents attend “school sessions” to learn all about starting school. It was highly rated by our parents who attended last year and provides an excellent opportunity for parents to have any questions answered about their child’s first year at school. It also allows the child to explore the classroom setting at their new school and to become familiar with the school surrounds. This assists a smooth transition to school for all members of the family.
