Linkages
The overall objective of a Linkages Program is to support successful transition of students from Stage 3 to Stage 4 through continuity of academic development across the Key Learning Areas.
Our Linkages Program:
- introduces Year 6 students to high school.
- encourages actively engaged learning.
- provides opportunities for professional dialogue
and communication between high school and
primary school staff to ensure valuable
learning programs are developed. - promotes continuity in Key Learning Areas
between the primary school and the high
school. - enriches existing learning programs.
Samuel Gilbert shares in a strong and varied Linkages Program with our feeder high school, Castle Hill High.
Activities are carried out throughout the year and involve most grades.
Students participate in:
- Open Day at Castle Hill High – Year 6
- Drama Workshops– Year6
- High School Musical performance – Years 5&6
- Maths Extension Day – Years 5&6
- Reading program with Kindergarten
- Peer Tutoring
- Sport coaching – Years 3-6
- Art Workshops - Year 5
- Science Workshops –Year 4
