Dear Parents,

Welcome to our Kindergarten Transition Program. The aim of this program is to make your child's transition from home and pre-school to our school as positive an experience as possible for all concerned.

This school first opened in 1986 and has a fine reputation for meeting our community's needs. We are a well equipped, modern school with an enrolment in excess of 540 students. We have an active P&C Association which ensures that parents' interests and values are well represented. We also have many and varied opportunities for parents to participate in school programs, such as Sport, Maths, Reading and Band.

We trust that your child will enjoy their learning experiences with us and look forward to working with you in the years ahead to achieve the highest educational outcomes possible for your child.

Starting school is an exciting time for children and their parents and we believe, that by working together, we can make your child's transition from home and preschool, to school, a positive and memorable experience.

Our Kindergarten Transition Program commences with a Parent Information Evening on Tuesday, 29th September, 2009.

This will be followed by three orientation sessions, for you and your child, over the three weeks commencing on Tuesday October 20th 2009. During these sessions children will enjoy a range of activities in the Kindergarten classrooms while parents are provided with school related information in the hall. Our program will culminate with a sausage sizzle for the children and a chance for parents and teachers to chat and get to know one another a little better.

We look forward to meeting you and your child during our Term 4 activities. In order to confirm numbers for the sessions could you please fill in the slip on this page and return to the school office.

Yours Sincerely,
Cathie Barclay
