This term Kindergarten has been learning about the Farm.
On Monday Kindergarten visited Calmsley Hill City Farm, and had a wonderful time consolidating what they had learnt in class with real life experiences. Students learnt how to milk a cow and enjoyed going for a bumpy tractor ride around the farm. They learnt about the different farm animals and were given the opportunity to pat the sheep, goats and rabbits. Some students were even lucky enough to have a go at cracking the whip.
The day culminated with students watching working dog Marley round up the sheep and a sheep shearing demonstration.

Year 5 - Life on the Goldfields
In Term 1, year 5 completed a gold rush assignment and one of the options of the project was to write a poem about life on the goldfields.
On the right is a poem written by Sam W. from 5T which talks about a day in life as a gold digger.
